You can see it clearly with polarized sunglasses!

LOL Seriously though, the 4S screen you could barely see with polarized lenses, i5 is crystal clear.

Nice. That's the advantage of not having the extra layer of glass, I'm guessing. I use polarized sunglasses and always got annoyed at the rainbow effect on the 4S' screen.

Ah, I thought I was the only one who was bothered by that! Great to hear, thanks for sharing.

Funny, I always avoided polarized sunglasses because I wouldnt be able to see my screen clearly.

Thanks for letting us know!

Interesting. I have polarized also. My 3G I could see but it was weird looking. My iPhone 4 was perfect and my 4s was also. I am getting a 5 and my wife is getting my 4s so I swapped them earlier innthenweek and her old 4 is like the 3G. I can see but the colors are distorted with a pinkish hue most of of the time.

So, Im assuming they used different vendors for iPhone 4 screens or something.

Wearing polarized sunglasses, 4s next to the 5....not seeing a difference.

Mine doesn't go dark as it does on the 4 screen. It does change color tint while rotating it. Checked with some Maui Jims

One other thing...when putting the iPhone 5 next to the 4S on the same brightness, you can see just how much better the screen on the 5 is. It's just beautiful. More vibrant without being oversaturated. Looks accurate, crisp and just stunning.
