Hi guys,

Could do me a small favor and check the bottom of your MBP? I just got mine (MBP 17") and noticed the edge on the unibody (the ridge between the unibody and bottom panel with rubber feet) is not smooth.

It looks as if it wasn't machined perfectly, whereas every other edge on the MBP is. If this is typical of most MBP, I can live with it. If not, I'd like to get a new one.

Let me know! Thanks.

pics would help.

I'm sorry. I wish I could, but I don't have a camera.

If you flip over your MBP, you'll see the ridge/space/slit. There's only one and it runs around the bottom.

Thanks again!

this is normal for most if not all MBP's. I have this imperfection on my 13" MBP (specs in sig) and i am not worried about it.

Not quite sure what you mean, seems OK to me but have added a photo so you can see for yourself. If mine is the same as what your on about then I wouldn't worry.

Thanks! Would you mind taking a higher res photo?

Unscrew the bottom, wiggle it around a little, screw it back in. See if that helps.

Unless you're too scared.

Thanks, guys. Appreciate the help. I knew I was going to get heckled, but what the hey.
