Hi all.
I have been using SL both at home and work ever since it came out, and often use screen sharing in both directions. In SL if I connect via screen sharing it connects to whatever account is logged in. I always run my computers from a standard account, and usually only that one account is logged in. If I am at work, I can screen share to my home computer, and even if I connect using the administrator account it still connects to my standard logged-in account, not the administrator account. Perfect, this is what I want.
Recently I got a new computer at work which came with Lion, and I found that when I connect from home (SL) to work (Lion) I must connect using my administrator login and that it creates a new administrator login on my work computer; if I want my standard account I must log into that account after I connect. This is NOT what I want.
I just bought Lion from the App store for my home computer and enabled Back to my Mac, and then started a screen sharing session this morning from work. I had to connect using my administrator account, and it logged me in as the administrator account instead of connecting to the standard account that was already logged in. Again this is NOT what I want. For one thing it completely screws up my MajicJack phone connection; now my wife will be without home phone service until I get home and fix it.
Surely there is a way to make Screen Sharing behave as it did under SL, or at least I hope so. This is just one more thing about Lion that has caused me headaches. If this is an indication of Apple's future then I am not liking it very much.
