I'm currently on a mid 2009 17" macbook pro and I'm feeling its starting to get old.
The most important thing i use my computer for is Ableton Live, which is very cpu heavy and the lag it generates when I'm making my music is almost painful, i mean it still works but it just slows down my entire work progress.
So, I've been looking into getting a new MBP, and I was just wondering if the performance boost from mid 2009 to mid 2011 is noticeable and worth the money or if i should wait for the next gen of MBPs (Yes I read the buyers guide).
Any suggestions?
