Did THE misstake.

I formatted the wrong HD. the hd was FAT 32 and after the format its Mac os Journal. I did a simple format, the data should still be on the HD.
I have not installed any new data on the HD.

Is it possible to recover all the files ? index tree? root ?

Which is the best recover program ? I tried data rescue, it found alot of files. all the files was renamed etc.

please help

I suspect a windows utility would work best, given that you went from FAT to HFS+

google norton utiltiies and such to see if you get any hits
