iPod Please help a Romanian ignorant (dead iPod mini)

Guys, I have troubles with my Ipod mini. First, I am Romanian in Romania so it wouldn't work to go and fix it by a specialist!
It shows a weird logo on display, it looks like a folder with "!" sign on it, It stays posted for 3-4 seconds and then it shuts down... What can I do!???
I miss my Ipod, brothers! Hellllp!

HD dead is what i believe that icon means

the HD isn't dead, but their is a corrupted system file.

download most current ipod updater, and do a restore.

this will wipe the music, but should save the ipod.

if not, your ipod is ****ed, i hope you have applecare.
