Hello,

I've tried everything to get my win7 bootcamp installation to get onto a public wifi network on my mac pro quad.

are there those with '09 quads that can get this working on an open wifi router?

i've gotten it to work intermittently in win7, but it stopped working, i reinstalled win7, and STILL NO INTERNET.

It's driving me bonkers.

anyone have some insight into this?

thanks,

I never had to install any drivers for the airport card on my '08 - the drivers included in Win 7 worked fine.

yes i installed the drivers from the snow leopard dvd.

I've given up trying to figure it out. perhaps it is an issue with win7 and the router, which i do not have access to. My temporary 'solution' is to share the internet connection from a 12" powerbook i have nearby...

If you are able to connect over WiFi to the powerbook without issue, that, as you suggest, means your router is likely the problem.

...or more specifically, that there is an incompatibility between win7 and the router... ?
