Ok so i've got my shiny new 5C ready to go, but need to get my notes and especially photos from the old phone to the new one.

So I decided the best way to do this (and keep any future iphone6-7-8-whatever) synced up with my photos is to enable iCloud. I assume it would seamlessly sync as my music as done

I've activated iCloud on my old phone and selected notes and photos to sync.

I did the same thing on the new phone, but the only thing that syncs right now are new notes that I create from this point forward. None of my old notes or photos sync up

Anyideas / help on how I can do this? Do i have to click to manually backup the phone first?

Thanks!!

Manually back up to iCloud on your old phone. and reset your new phone to factory settings. When it boots choose "restore from iCloud". sign in with your Apple ID and that should bring in your photos, texts, notes, voicemails, settings, apps, etc.

Enjoy your 5c brother! What color did you go with?

As far as your question, the guy above me answered it dead on.
