I have been trying to replace the battery in my 3GS, APN-616-0432, and i have tried replacements from ebay that say they are compatible, APN-6160435, but these do not work they disable all connections and also reset my phone periodically!

I don't want to be the first to state the obvious but why not try apple.
When you have finished spending money and time on this you probably would have broke even paying apple.
