Hi Guys,

I wanted to ask you guys ask for some advice from you guys, I am looking out for an Monitor, I want to use a Monitor with an iPad Pro as an external Display. So I am thinking between this one DELL P2419H and the LG 24MP88HV. I would generally prefer LG over DELL for its Sharpness, Colour Reproduction and Detailing.

But I am confused since I am going to use the Monitor with an iPad Pro so having a Monitor which displays content and works in Portrait Mode is also a great feature to have. Sadly the LG does not support that. But LG has a better reputation of producing some great TV/Monitor Screens.

Also the Dell has a little thicker bezel that has just a slight bit of more area than the LG Model mentioned here. The LG Model I have put here has absolutely thin bezels all the four sides which can give an immersive Video and Movie watching experience, where as the DELL Model just has slim bezels on three sides but slightly thicker bezel at the bottom.

What would you suggest Guys ? which one should I go between the Dell P2419H and LG 24MP88HV ?

It sounds like your sold on the LG.

Looking at the base I can assure you the Dell is much more rock solid than the LG. I have also heard some negative reviews about LG warranty. On my Dell, I got 3 years free replacement warranty. My Dell frame is SOLID, many times I flip this thing upside down to move cables add cables, my son comes over and adds his X-box.

Neither are very price point decision based. You should compare each ones warranty on their website. If your sold on the LG than go for it.

They have 4x more reviews of the Dell P2419H on Amazon than the LG 24MP88HV. That says something, when its 4.5 stars.

Like I mentioned earlier, having a Monitor only to hook it up with an iPad Pro is a key thing, so that changes the equation. You could have a lot of Photos which are in Portrait Mode on your iPad and if You have that itch to watch in on a big screen, monitor. Dell Provides that Functionality, LG does not, but at the same time LG has extremely slimmer bezels which would give a very immersive, Video, Movie watching experience. Which is kind of gonna be the main use case of my Monitor. But something tells me that Oh C'mon it is not Dell is giving you only half of that screen estate, Dell could just be a tiny bit thicker in bezels, but it makes it up that with a Portrait Mode Functionality which LG does not. So it is a trade off on both the sides I dont know which to give preference. I want both Slimmer Bezels and the Portrait Mode Functionality !
