Please help! Deleted a @me in accounts!

I clicked remove account by mistake on a sub account and I want to get it back but it says the account is already taken and I can't recover the password or anything!

Is there any way to get this @me.com address back so my friend can use it again?

Someone at the Apple store said I had to wait 15 days before I could get it back, is this true?

Was it an employee? because if they did it's probably true. I know thru Comcast I accidentally deleted one of my email addresses one time and wanted to re-add it. You need to wait 30 days before you can re-add if it's permanently deleted.

Ok we got the account back but now the Mail app force closes when we open up the MobileMe tab on her iPhone. I want to delete account but it won't let me.

I rebooted the phone numerous times and it still force closes
