Please Help - Have I Been Hacked?

Hello,

I just woke up a few minutes age. The Mac was switched off.
When I came back into the room it was on.
I am the only person in the house.
And this is at least the third time it has happened in the last few weeks AT THE SAME TIME IN THE MORNING.

Is somebody hacked into my computer?
Please help?

Turn off all sharing options in System Preferences, for one thing.

Hello,

The panic is over. After posting straight away (I didn't want to waste time in getting an answer), I relaxed a bit and was able to think straight so I googled the problem.

After two search terms, I was lead to check my Energy Saver, where I discovered I had (several weeks ago) set the machine to switch on automatically at 6:08 on a Tuesday for some reason and never unclicked it when I was finished with needing it.

I never noticed the this was happening on the same day each time and I've been up and working on the MAC before 6am many times in the last two or three weeks so sometimes it, obviously, wasn't able to work.

Sorry for that.

Whew!! Glad to hear it worked out. I hate scares like that.

BTW, MAC ≠ Mac.
