Hi all. My first apple product was an Airport Extreme Model No. A1143 that my brother-in-law set up for me. He has since moved away. Anyway, I was using it for my PC network and internet and everything was fine. I just added a new MBP i7 and 2 ipads to the network. Now the Airport drops the internet connection. My computers seem to still be able to find the network but not the internet. TO solve this, I have to unplug the Airport Extreme, and plug it back it in. Then everything is fine. I searched here for some answers and I think the best thing to do is get a new Airport Extreme.

1. Would you recommend that I get a Time Capsule this time? Would the Time Capsule be a better router? To me, it looks like its the same thing as the Airport Extreme but with a hard drive. Money isn't an issue, although I do not want to be wasteful. And if it is not as good of router, than I don't want it.

2. Can someone give me step by step instructions for uninstalling??? or deactivating the old one and setting up the new one? Networks are not my thing and I have never been able to set one up on my own. But I've only tried with PC equipment and as I mentioned previously, my bro-in-law set this one up. When it comes to the number assigning (01.234.4567.9288 for example), WPA/WP2A, and WAN Ports (whatever that is) I am LOST!! So any help would be much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read through my thread.
