I'm very new to this forum and new to a mac :/
registered here cuz i was having too many problems with my mac

I have a macbook and I like it...but the problem is that a lot of things seem to work with windows only..

so I've been trying to install windows 7 with boot camp but failed

First I got my windows 7 iso file on my usb, but boot camp couldn't recognize it and it keeps saying 'installer disc could not be found'

So i looked things up and someone said that i could do it by using refit
So i downloaded refit and rebooted my computer twice with my usb in it and when I held the option key when booting, I actually did get another option to boot from.
It was 'boot from legacy os' or something like this.
But when i did that, it said 'no operating system' or so..

Then I tried uninstalling refit. And when I rebooted my computer pressing the option key, now I had another booting option saying 'boot from windows 7' right next to the mac os one. So I tried that one and all I got was 'non system disc'. And I get this message even without the usb plugged in..

Of course I didn't think it would work because I never even had a chance to install Windows 7 :(

Could anyone help me out here please!
I've been trying a lot of things for days and nothing works.
I want to know if there is any way I can install windows 7 via boot camp with a usb, but it's okay if its not via boot camp if i can just get it to work.

I'm really new to all this so if someone could explain it to me step by step, i'd really appreciate it!

FYI
I have a MacBook with Snow Leopard 10.6.8
and my boot camp version is 3.0.4. for windows 7

if this matters..
