please help - how to find switched off mobile iphone4 in the house

hii all , can any one please please help me how to find out switched off mobile phone ( iphone 4 ) in the house ...
we have called to that number around 20 times , couldn't hear any thing , thought it was in vibrate mode and later after trying to call the phone has switched off ( already knew battery was low ) searched almost all over the house but no use ,one thing is sure the phone will be in the house no doubt about it.

Have you looked down the loo ?

It wouldn't be the first time someone has dropped their phone down the loo (toilet)

Instead of posting a thread of how to find a lost item just go to the house and look harder.
No other way to locate it if the phone is switched off.
