Hi all,

Hope somebody can help with my iphone problem.

Basically, my iphone was out of contract with 02 early June. I contacted them to unblock it, which they did and I went over to pay as you go using a Lycamobile sim card. I also went to Egypt, bought a local sim card which worked a treat - email, text and internet. Both of these sim cards worked fine with all services in tact.

On my return home 2 weeks ago, I decided to give the iphone to my sister as I now have an upgrade. So, stupidly, I did a master reset on the phone in order to delete all my contacts etc.

This is where the fun has started.

I can get phone and text messages to work absouletly fine. The internet comes up with the message 'Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet'

The iphone is up to date with all software - 4.2.1 and modem is showing 05.15.04 if that means anything. I always kept the phone updated as I used it with itunes to update my songs.

I just can't work out what has gone wrong but I suspect the master reset is the cause of it all. I have tried 3 different sim cards which all work on the phone/texts but none on the internet. I have tried rebooting, turning the Airplane mode on and off and any other suggestions I could find on the net!

Still no internet.

Is there anybody who can please, please help me in very simple terms. I'm not terribly good with techie terminology!

Thanks in anticipation,

Jean

p.s - forgot to mention - I have no Edge signal and no 3G signal. Unfortunately I don't have any wi-fi available to me which I can test either so I don't know if wi-fi is working.
