I installed 4 F1 1Tb drives to put in a 1+0 RAID set (stripe of mirrors) and everything seemed to work out, but when I moved my cloned drive (superduper) onto the RAID set everything went down. The system wouldn't even boot (not even off an external). All I could see was either a blank screen or a question mark.
Right now I swapped in another working drive and am running techtool pro. It's almost finished the surface scan on the internal drives and it's showing 661 bad blocks on one and 142 bad blocks on another. What should I do?? Was it the bad blocks that were causing this, and if so can I zero the drives to solve the problem? Would DiskWarrior be a better tool to use??
Sorry for all the questions, I've never had HD problems before now.
(system information: 3Ghz Mac Pro Early 2008, 4 1Tb F1s, )
(tools on hand: cloned startup drive, orig startup drive (no case), techtool pro, diskwarrior)
