I had a friend replace the home button on an iphone 4, and on reassembling, some weird things have happened.

All camera roll photos/video have disappeared. Not too worried about the photos cos I use photo stream so all these show up on another phone, but I'm really upset about the videos. Am pretty sure they must still be there because when I go in settings/general/usage, it shows I have over 7GB of photos & camera. But when I go in settings/about, it says I only have the photos/videos taken since the problem occurred.
Also, bizarrely, the photo stream photos haven't returned, even though I am connected to wifi.

Also, seem to have lost most of my messages (not all), but I'm not too bothered about that.

Now when I try to delete any photo, the following happens. I press the "bin" symbol - the 2 usual options appear: delete photo and cancel. Cancel works fine, but it won't let me press delete photo! Its not the screen cos that part of the screen works fine for everything else apart from when I want to delete a photo! Bizarrely, that is when the screen in portrait, but if I try all the above when in landscape, it DOES allow me to delete photos.

Is there anything I can do? Please help!

Edit: when I look at the phone in itunes on my computer, I seem to have over 9GB in "other", which seems to confirm all the photos/video are indeed still there.
