iPod Please Help, Ipod is crazy

So heres what my 5G ipod is doing.

It will freeze at the apple logo, and will go to the sad ipod. today for the first time however, i got it to go into disk mode. But it froze in disk mode. I was so close. Is there any way i can fix it?

have you tried the 5 Rs?

yeah, it won't connect to my computer so i can't restore it. I was close though

what about connecting it to a power adapter (as suggested by Apple) or another computer (if available)?

if the 5 Rs don't work and you're getting the sad iPod icon, it might be time to make your way to the Apple store. or if you have AppleCare or are within the initial 90-day call period, give 'em a ring.
