This is driving me nuts. I'm a recent switcher from a PC to an iMac, and something so simple and basic in WORDPAD on my PC is becoming my worst nightmare on my mac.

I have an HP C5580 printer with the latest drivers loaded. I set up a custom paper size called 5x8.5. These are card stock paper that I custom cut to make CD SLEEVES that you just fold over a CD and it holds your CD and you can put them in those CD storage boxes from IKEA. It's a GREAT SYSTEM for keeping your CD's and DVD's organized.

When I go to print it in TextEdit, after I select the paper size, it SHRINKS my text down to practically nothing so I can't see it. I had to actually blow up the font to like 200 points in order for it to print normal size to the paper. BUT, there is still one problem. Even though my margins are set to the minimum HP margins of like .23 inch, it's putting a 2 inch margin at the top of the page. This is driving me nuts.

Is this a TextEdit problem? HP Printer driver issue? I don't want it to SCALE or do anything when I change the paper size, just leave it alone, follow my instructions and PRINT!!!

I know I will love my mac once I get past a few things like this. it's not rocket science, set margins, and print, I don't know why this is being so difficult!
