Please help! iTunes crashes after failed iMovie export

Hey guys, I'm desperate here... I tried to export a montage I was editing in iMovie into an iPod format and it failed, and now iTunes would only open for a few seconds and then crash! Do you know what can I do???

backup your itunes.plist file and delete the itunes.plist file.

then if all works out, then alls good. if not, then replace the deleted itunes.plist with the old itunes.plist.

then the problem has to be somewhere else...
