Hello everyone and thanks for your answers in advance.
I have the new MacBook Pro 2020 and I'm dealing with an issue. I have an external monitor connected to my Mac through and HDMI and my Mac I have plugged in. The problem is that the battery drains even if I have my Mac plugged in! Does anyone know why this is happening? I thought it has to do with the external monitor, so I disconnected it and I just had my MacBook on. Even then, the battery kept on draining (1% every 10 mins). It reached 89% and now it started increasing again (now its 91%). I really find this inadmissible for the money I spent for it, and I want to hear your opinions. Do you think that maybe its a software bug? is this normal? I think that even when connected to an external monitor, it shouldn't drain battery because I have it plugged, so for me it really doesn't make any sense at all! Please, help!

update: the battery reached 100% (although I had connected the external monitor) and stayed there, I guess it was some kind of bug? the Mac also got warmer now, which means that its charging. Maybe before it didn't charge although I had it plugged in? (though the thunder icon was shown in the battery icon..) no idea, thanks for your help again

This is the battery management feature in macOS 10.15.5. It's working to periodically discharge your battery just a little bit in order to preserve its life.
