So my macbook fell a few months back and I ordered a new screen during the installation I believe I shorted out the new screen or bent the connectors on the cable so I ordered a new one of each. Now when I have plugged in the new screen and cable I just get a really bright white screen with vertical colored lines across the whole display. Is there anyway to fix this. When plugged into an external monitor it still works (BTW) I've read that means the logic board is still good. I do not have warranty and when I took it to the Geniuses they told me that I have to buy a new logic board for $750 maybe more... which is way out of my range. I am pretty good with soldering if this is a fuse issue and am confident on replacing one if that is an issue. But I need some advice I don't want to do more damage.
