Hey guys, I need help on choosing 3 options for my setup:

Option 1: Keep my Late 2011 17" MBP (with 16gb ram) and upgrade it with an aftermarket SSD

Option 2: Let go of my current setup and get an 11" MBA + ATD

Option 3: Let go of my current setup and get an rMBP

------------

My gripes with my current setup:
• it's slower than my wife's 11" MBA on everyday tasks
• heavy to lug around
• still needs to be upgraded with aftermarket SSDs which can't reach 6G speeds at the drive bay.

Positives with my current setup:
• Love the screen real estate
• Love the 1920x1200 resolution

I would love to have:
• faster response
• screen real estate
• portability (sorry no iMacs)

What I use my computers for:
• Web development (usual coding + photoshop + illustrator)
• Flash development
• iOS development
• usual everyday tasks like surfing, occasional movie, word processing, etc.

I usually go out of the office to do errands, but work is mainly done in the office or at night where I can stay put in one place.

I'm still hoping that ML will TOTALLY solve the lag of the rMBP. The GM release has worked wonders but it hasn't solved everything, YET.

So guys, any thoughts on this? I appreciate your thoughts /replies :)

Cheers,
Greg

if you do most of your work at the office I would get the MBA with ATD.

That was what I was actually been pondering on for a week now. I'd totally love this setup but I'm just scared of the fact that I might gripe when I'm caught in a situation that I have to work outside with a small screen. Well.. trade offs..

Thanks for the input! Appreciate it :)
