im deleting all files that got to do with my old symantec endpoint protection. i came across 2 files that i don't know if it came with mbp. can you search it in your computer to see if it suppose to be there or if its only on mine from my SEP.

1)SymAutoProtect ........... could this be "system auto protect" used by mac's firewall or any security thing?

2)SymProtector ............ could this be "system protector" used by mac's security?

I'm really not sure and really scared that if i delete those 2 something will be screwed up. please help

If it had to do with "system auto protect" it would be "sys" and not "sym". They are, indeed, Symantec components, as a quick Google search for either will reveal.

Also, you may have better success in attracting responses to your thread, and you'll make your thread easier to find for those searching for the same answers, if you follow this tip.
