My MBP came with Lion preinstalled and so I'm eligible to use the Lion Internet recovery.

When Mountain Lion is coming out I intend to do a clean install that includes wiping off the recovery HD as well. So before that I want to download the full lion installer. But its not working as mentioned here

Can somebody please tell me what can I do ?
Should I reset my PRAM and NVRAM ? I'm on 10.7.2 and it is 10.7. Can that be the problem ?

I wouldn't worry about wiping off the recovery partition, the ML install will take care of upgrading that on its own.

But to do a fresh install of Lion, boot into the recovery and use Disk Utility to format your install hard drive. Then kick off the installaion routine.

Thanks for the heads up!

But if ever I need Lion back recovery partition is the only solution. So if I own a copy of the Lion disk image, that takes care of everything.I can format my entire HD and install ML completely fresh
