Hello everyone,

today, I noticed some interesting behavior for the first time, and I have no idea what and since when this is happening:

After logging into my account until I shutdown the Mac, it seems to receive every second about 1kb. I tried shutting down every single app and menulet, but it continues to happen. Does someone have an idea why this is happening? I can see the green "LED" blinking every second that it receives packets until I disconnect the Mac from the net (disable Airport)

That's just the communication between the Mac and the router and is perfectly normal. Think of it as the router pinging your Mac, to see if it is still there. Normally there should be some outgoing communication to the router from the Mac too, but that may be too small for the iStat Menus network item to register.
