Yesterday I jail-broke my ipod touch 16 GB 1.1.4 with Ziphone 2.6, everything worked fine until today. It just started working really slow, it was getting stuck several times so I kept restarting it. Then it got stuck more frecuently, so I restored it with itunes 1.1.4. After that, the ipod just showed the connect to itunes sign, but when I connected it to itunes again this message appeared: "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000001)." and the ipod kept displaying the same connect to itunes sign. Then I ran ziphone 2.6 and tried to jailbreak it again but this message appeared on the output log:

"Started process ziphone.exe with argument: -Z I
ZiPhone v2.6b by Zibri. http://www.ziphone.org
Source code available at: http://www.ziphone.org

Loading zibri.dat.
Searching for iPod...
Entering recovery mode.
Failed: (0) AMDeviceConnect failed.
Could not connect to lockdown port"

And the ipod still displays the same icon. What can I do??? Please help me!

Hey! I guess u made the wrong choice with ziphone jailbreak. to solve your prob, restore your ipod to 1.1.1 (if your firmware version "out of the box" was 1.1.1). jailbreak from there. (I suggest you stay with 1.1.3 firmware because it's relatively the same as 1.1.4. wait for the v2.0 instead which i believe will be out soon)

If you bought the latest touch, then you have to downgrade it to 1.1.1 using a method created by ipodtouchmaster. search the web and you'll find instruction how to do this. and word of advice, don't use ziphone! they are for iPhones! ciao!

You are the only one then. Try this- attach the Touch to your machine. Open Ziphone 2.6b. Select - Mode in the Menu and select - Restart in DFU mode. Now - please restore to a clean 1.1.4 Apple Touch. NOW quit iTunes and open Ziphone and Select - Jailbreak iTouch(I wish he would change that).

You should be good to go.

I know you said it, but you MUST,
RESTORE
QUIT ITUNES
then have a go, if needed, clean nvram (with ziphone)
Jailbreak iTouch(I wish he would change that
