My info:
I got the touch about a year ago
software 3.1.1(7C145)
model MB376LL
I currently have the newest itunes 9.0
I run windows vista premium home edition

I have tried several different ways to jailbreak my ipod to no avail. Can someone please point me in the right direction to the programs and files i need to do this properly. When i do try and jailbreak the phone itunes says my firmware is not compatible. Im not sure what to do to correct my issues any help would be gratefully appreciated.

first off it can be done but you will need a mac to do it. you also have to download itunes 8, then download redsnow 0.8 and 3.0 firmware restore with the 3.0 firmware then jailbreack with redsnow. after that download pwnage tool 3.1.3. and make a .ipsw for the ipod from the 3.1.1 firmware then restore to the 3.1.1 firmware that you made. To restore in itunes press alt+restore buttion together.
