Please help me! (Need to re-install, don't have discs)

I have a macbook it was fine since i had it over a year now then the os crashed, i have been looking for the original os came with it bt i couldnot find it.
does any one know where can download the os x10.4.8 !!
please let me know.

unless i am mistaken, i think apple will provide you with new restore disks for your machine for a nominal fee. i think you need to provide them with a receipt or a serial number or something. worth calling them.

there is nowhere legal you can download OS X.
