Please help me transfer my songs from my iphone

I have an iphone version 2.2.1 and I really want to transfer the songs on there to my PC. Is there any free software out there that would do this? All of the free software ive installed does not work, it needs me to enable disk mode, and I dont think I can do that on 2.2.1. I've spent hours trying to do this.I know its possible because a program called copytrans was able to do it, but its a trial and it wont copy all of the songs. I appreciate your help, thanks.
