So this is what I have done:
1. Restored my ipod touch 16GB to 1.1.4 firmware
2. Jailbreaked with Ziphone successfully
3. Installed BD Systems and Open SSH
4. Installed Summerboard, BossPrefs, Boss Tools
5. Turned on SSH and added iphone apps, GMM Framework, and other things as part of a 8 file package, to the appropriate folders
6. While in SSH, changed permissions so that they will run properly
These are my problems now:
1. I cannot install/uninstall anything in Installer
2. When I try to use iphone apps, they freeze up and I have to reset (SO ANNOYING!!!)... I know for others, it only crashes back to the springboard...
3. Safari does not even work; it too freezes up! Haven't tried using YouTube...
I have restored my ipod for now... but am so frustrated because it seems that others can get it to work. I've tried so many things already...
Perhaps these may me my problems?
1. I read somewhere that I need the 1.1.4 iphone firmware and not ipod touch firmware for the iphone apps to work? (T/F?)
2. I did not run Fix VRAM in Ziphone. Anyone care to explain what that does?
3. Maybe I should do this in 1.1.3 or earlier? Anyone has gotten this to work in 1.1.4 solely?
Any comments would greatly be appreciated...
I'm also hoping people can contribute to writing a long tutorial from start to finish on jailbreaking ipod touch 16GB and adding iphone apps as well as other applications, since I know others are struggling with these same issues. Maybe it could also include all the things that people have done to fix problems that arise along the way... For example, if this happens at this step, do this...
