Hi,
I've been trying for 2 days to get my new Airport Express without success.
Search forums, Apple Support, youtube, etc, and tried so many things and still cannot get my AE to work
All I want to do is to stream my iTunes music to my amplfier/speakers in the other room, being able at the same time to access internet
Tried:
- Plugging the AE via ethernet to router and running the assistant, choosing the network created by the AE (and not my internet network), then selecting "Join an existing wireless network")
- Same, but choosing from the start my internet network
- Connecting the AE to the stereo and the wall socket but not to the router, and running the assistant "Join an existing wireless network")
In all cases I've selected during the setup process my internet network, introduced the correct password
Before trying the setup, I did a hard reset (ballpoint pen in the reset button while unplugging), to make sure no settings were left behind.
In all cases, after the AE resets upon completion of the process, I get a message saying that it cannot find the selected network (my internet network), and asks me to revise the network and password.
Then prompts me to ignore the problem and continue.
Have tried going back and rechecking the password and all other settings.
All I get is an amber blinking light.
Please please please, help me...!
