I have been struggling for a while on this and just spent a good hour at Microcenter looking for this cable needed.
I understand that I need 2, but only links I have seen are from UK sites.

I know someone must own 3,1 MacPro and have installed 4890. Where did you get your cable?

Thank you in advance.

This is what works right? I can't zoom in enough to see if it is the right size fit as I have no experience with 1900

Thx for the response Cindori. I was reading through your mega post on 4890 installation and realized that 3,1 has different power cables available and just SATA+power combo out.

Great help!!!!

Didn't have a problem with it, but i just rewired it.

Just went back and read the ADC on MP PCIe power and i'm am and idiot and didn't read it well enough the first time:

When populating the four PCI Express slots, you need to conform to the following total wattage rules:

Slots one and two (not including aux power), max slot power per slot: 75 W
Slots three and four (not including aux power), max slot power per slot: 40 W
All four slots (not including aux power), max total power: 200 W
Max aux power per connector: 75 W
Max aux power for both connectors: 150 W
Max total PCI Express power (slot power and aux connector power): 300 W

Thanks for questioning that Cindori, otherwise i never would have gone back and re-read it. and would have probably ran into problems sooner than later.
