I have recently upgraded my macbook pro to mountain lion, but my dock appearance is still the same as it was with snow leopard, i can't do the fan effect from the dock, the mission control doesnt allow me to see every application i have running. how do i fix this?

Not sure if this is relevant but you can try the Sharing & Permissions tweak documented here.

Could you be more specific with the Dock appearance being the same? The only different I see in the Dock is the line/bar separating the applications from Stacks/Trash icon is a solid line instead of dotted/dashed. You can also disable the showing of indicator lights for open applications.

Mission Control is what replaces Exposé in previous versions of OS X. You can see all open windows, thumbnails of full-screen applications occupying their own Desktop/Spaces, and Dashboard. What is it not showing for you?
