I just got my Macbook, but just tried to print using my Dell 1100, to no avail. The Dell website makes no claims that it is compatable with OS X, but I have read that some Lexmark drivers will work instead. Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a solution that I could try? I would really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

They are basically dumb printers which rely on the OS to do a lot of the work, which makes them cheaper to produce. We have a Dell inkjet at work (free with a PC) that is totally useless unless linked to a Windows system. I can't even get a share of the printer to work with my Mac.
