Hi!

Got in a really stupid situation ..
It all started with me trying to installing Win 7 throught bootcamp.
Everything went well until neither keyboard or mouse worked in Windows, but worked well on macOS.

Tested lots of stuff without a working soltuon, after reading a lot of forums, someone had managed to make it work by removing the "USB 3.0 Host Controller" driver from Windows, I succeeded in getting the mouse pointer to work. But after removing "USB 3.0" driver, nothing worked anymore in Windows.. After even more reading, you would obviously remove the bluetooth keyboard and mouse pointer from macOS and restart your computer...The **** keeps booting in Windwos, and I can't boot from anything else because no keyboard or mouse respons..

I even tested wired keyboard USB 2.0 in all USB-ports ... aslo tested to restore SMC but no difference ..

Anyone who has a good solution?

So....to recap:

  • You cannot hold down the option key at reboot to select an OS?
  • You cannot set the boot volume via the Bootcamp icon in the Win system tray?

If you can't get a mouse working in Win, obviously you won't be able to (easily) set the Bootcamp tool in the system tray. But, any USB keyboard should be recognized on boot, even with no OS loaded.
