Hi All,

Can someone suggest a solution? I recently bought a used Apple Magic Trackpad-2. Since it was a used item I wanted to clean it thoroughly before I start using it. So When I cleaned it yesterday, I used a damp cloth, which seemed to work. However, I wanted to clean a bit of more dirt and grime which was there on it, so I sprayed spectacle, lens cleaning solution which was basically a kind of soapy water onto a microfiber cloth and tried to clean the bottom surface. Unfortunately, this created smudges that is not going, even with a damp cloth. This is concerning for a new product. Can you suggest a safe solution? Picture attached.

I've never looked at the bottom of my Magic Trackpad, but sure enough there were some smudges. Since I never plan to look at the bottom of it again I was willing to test cleaning it with a white cloth dampened with water and a bit of rubbing alcohol. It did a good job of cleaning, and no color came off, but use at your own risk. Or just use the Trackpad and forget about the bottom.

ChatGPT says you still have a chance try rubbing Isopropyl Alcohol as Apple Suggest it may just come off.
