I am suddenly having trouble with an app which has been working for months. The app is My Verizon Mobile. It was just recently updated.

The problem: When I open the app and click on Details, the arrow going around in a circle (indicating, I assume, that processing is going on) comes on for about one second and then it pops over to the home page. I assume that this means the site crashes - if I understand the meaning of that word.
Here is what I have tried so far: First, I re-booted the phone. No help. Then, I deleted the app from the phone (Verizon iphone 4). Then went into iTunes and deleted the app from my app library, and reloaded the app. No help, the app still crashed when I tapped Details. So, in my desperation and stupidity, I repeated the delete/reload procedure - no help. (one definition of insanity is engaging in the same behavior over and over expecting a different outcome!)

As is clear, I am a complete incompetent with the technological knowledge of a house plant.

Additional Information: Called Verizon tech support. Tech tried the app and had the same problem. Bug in the app.
