Hey all,

I updated to Mac OS X Lion two days ago, and FINALLY I can make backups again. On Snow Leopard it just didn't work anymore.. The last backup was from November 19th 2010.. So last night I let my iMac's Time Machine function do all the backup stuff and now it's working. But, I need to make a backup which is 297GB, which has been working for the past 6 hours, but it is on 3,62GB only.. How can I speed it up?

I saw this on another site;
1) Stop Time Machine.
2) Delete all inprogress folders (I also deleted two--one in the TM disk's highest directory, and one buried a few layers within Backups.backupdb)
3) Empty trash if necessary
4) Start Time Machine back up.

But where are the in progress folders? I really need to make it faster, because i don't want my iMac to be on for a week.. Too much electricity!

Thanks in advance! (BTW if this is the wrong place to post this, i don't know where else!)
