Hi I'm taking my machine in to have the logic board replaced because of a heat thing. I want to find out the logic board serial number (preferably without having to open the machine) before i take it in to make sure they have replaced it when it comes back.

I see all the specs in 'more info', just not sure where exactly to look?

Thanks!

Or is it just the serial number that you get on the box?
Please help, very urgent:)

Thanks.

The serial number on the box is the computer serial number.

As far as I know the number you want will probably be on the Logic board itself which will require the machine to be opened ... :(

Damn i was hoping i'd find it in the system profiler. Bit anxious to open the machine up..

If you have taken the machine to an authorized service center, and they said that they will replace the logic board, you can be assured, with a fair amount of certainty, that they will replace it, unless the technician says otherwise.

Also, I believe your invoice will list out the parts that were replaced.
