I have a damaged 2008 unibody macbook pro and i want to replace the keyboard, along with other parts. I have found someone who will sell me a complete macbook pro of the same generation (though the upgraded model) minus the logic board for a good price. The catch is that the keyboard is a Korean one and I bought my macbook pro in Australia. I believe the Australian keyboard is the same as the USA macbook pro but I'm not 100% sure about that.
Could anyone tell me if they know how the keyboards differ. Is it possible for me to just buy the Korean model and change my keys for its keys, and will the backlighting and the key order work correctly?
I have looked around and I havent found any good information. I tried to compare my keyboard to pictures off the internet but that hasnt been a reliable way to check so far.
I would like to request anyone with a Korean 2008 macbook pro to take a picture of their keyboard and post it on this forum. In fact I think it would be very helpful if others could post pictures of their keyboard layouts too so we can compare and help anyone else who might have a similar situation.
Thanks for your help.
