So the problem started this morning when I ran Apples Software Update. It had a bunch of things to run so I let it go and restarted the computer. When the computer started up again it said can not locate boot drive or something of that sort. I could not get it to open up OSX or anything for that matter.

To solve this I booted up from the OSX Install disc and restored my computer from Time Machine because I had just updated it last night. Now when I open Finder and click on Movies it tells me that the volume can not be found.... What did Time Machine do when it restored my machine? Where did this folder go and how can I replace it at least?

Also can I run the updates again or will I have the same problem...

update. I installed the software again and it worked this time. Anyone know how I can fix my movie folder in the meantime, can I recover these files, why didn't Time Machine back them up?
