I need some help please. I have everything on my MacBook updated and have the latest build of aol mac os x installed. However, when I try to view a member's profile it pops up a blank webpage and has an asterisk on the left corner of the page. So I cannot view any aol member's profile, cannot browse the web on aol. I am currently on a cable connection through my cable provider. I can do without browsing the internet on aol but i'd really like to be able to see another member's. I've looked on google already but no luck. I emptied out the cache, still no luck and also went through disk utility and repair permissions as well. Can anyone help me please?

Why don't you just use Safari (or Firefox) for web browsing and iChat for AIM? I can see peoples profiles (or what I understand them to be) just fine...

I wouldn't advise using Macintosh software made by the AOL company. I don't think any of it is even Intel native.

Screw AIM, use iChat or Adium. That's all the advice you're going to get here, buddy, ha ha.

Unless, of course, there are some good samaritans out there who will tell you how to fix AIM even though it isn't the best choice.

okay true, well have 1 question guys. if i'm on aim, adium or ichat and I click to see an aol members profile will it show? I'm using adium right now for myspaceim and it's pretty good. I just tried to view an aol members profile and it did not show up. It even shows them as being on aim and the person is actually on aol. Instead of showing the profile it only shows these options: Profile, Alerts, Address Card. I also tried Adium and still no luck either. The apps you all mentioned are good for chatting and all. I just want to be able to view members profile, update mine as well.

Thread Closed. I didn't want to use it through aim and using a browser like safari..but hey it does the job so i'll manage. Thanks alot dpaanlka and everyone else for your help!
