Please help with iWeb

Help me please with iWeb... I built a site then ran it thru WebSiteMaestro to "optimise" it. After a fiasco to upload it thru ftp to my server( Classic ftp failed miserably!!! CyberDuck worked before I downloaded the add-on to Firefox) Anyway now I cannot open the site to modify it. Even the existing site has been altered to the point that iWeb cannot find it. Any ideas???

That's very strange, but I'm afraid that's not really enough information for me to help. Any screenshots perhaps?
