Please help with making a slideshow movie

I would like to make a small movie with just pictures and sound.

I have tons of pictures and would like put them on a DVD to give to someone. But i want to add music and make it like a slideshow somewhat.

what program do i use? iPhoto? iDVD? iMovies?

somebody please help. i know the answer must be easy.

If you want it on a DVD... the obvious answer is iDVD.

Just use one of the templates and do a slideshow chapter. I think you can include 99 photos as well as music.

thanks! i was using iMoveHD b/c i figured i was making a "movie"

i should have realized it is not a real movie, so iDVD was the way to go. thanks alot!

Or, you could also use iPhoto to make the slideshow of the pics you want and with whatever music, and then export it to iDVD to burn.

Just another way of doing the same thing.
