i use an uk o2 simcard(monthly contract),so why in theory cant i "download" the uk iphone software onto an American phone,and get full functionality with my current simcard.No unlock,no worrying about future hacks keeping up with Apple.Is this possible?

Nope, The o2 SIM Cards will be already in the iPhone and be Activated via iTunes. These will be tied with the IMEI of the phone.

Its the same as existing AT&T customers swapping their SIMS.

Just unlock it now and enjoy, see peoples reactions in the UK now while its unavailable. Mine works with Orange UK fine, I'm happy with 1.02, lets see what happens with 1.1.1, but I won't be the first to try it.

Come on America,you guys have had the Jesus phone for a little while now,so give your British cousins some of the joy,and answer some of these questions!
