I just got a Power Mac G4 MDD for £25 it powers up but i get a small folder with the Finder Face and a ?.

Any answers.

It means the machine cannot find a bootable OS.
You need to find an install CD or DVD and reinstall the system.

Does your MDD have a Hard drive? (it is The thing under the power supply)

Hi yes it has a 120gb disk drive.

Then you will need to locate a Tiger 10.4 or Leopard 10.5 Retail DVD (Black). And reinstall the OS.

Also make sure the HDD is properly connected. Check the IDE ribbon cable as well as the 4 pin power cable.

Also, the hard drive could be faulty. After you get those install disks, if you get any errors upon installing OS X, the drive is most likely dead. Can you hear any "clicks" coming out of the drive while its running?
