Manages to put my iPhone in with the wash.:mad::mad::mad:

Stopped it after 2 minutes.

Phone powers and has screen - but a bit erratic.

I was trying to unlock the screen with the slider to turnoff the power.

Eventually managed to do it. I have functionality - but the screen appears quite blotchy.

I've now powered it down and have it in the airing cupboard to thoroughly dry.

What else can I do??:confused::confused::confused:

Thanks:(

Open the back if it's a 4/4's remove the battery thoroughly dry out then put it back together.

Power off. Put inside a bag full of uncooked rice.
Use a hair dryer?

Genius Bar is the most likely option. Ask for alternatives there, and maybe a "battery" replacement could do the trick for you, $79, if the Genius and the manager are willing to give you a good will help.

You can try but if the moist sensors are red it's a no go.

Unfortunately you've already done the worst thing you could have done by turning it on. It's probably fried now. :(

However, try putting it in a bag of dry, uncooked rice for two days and don't touch it. After two days, check it for any signs of moisture and if there still is some, leave it longer. If it seems dry, turn it on and hope for the best.

I didn't turn it on - it WAS on. Because the touch screen controls were not responsive...I had a hard time to turn it off ( sliders wouldn't respond ).

Anyway - it's the next day now and I left it in a warm place all night - turned off.

It all works!!:D

However - the screen image is all blotchy - and it looks permanent. So can anyone point me in the right direction to get a new screen ( and the tools to change it )?

Many thanks. :)

Ahh fair enough, you've still turned it back on too early though. Why so eager? Could be an expensive mistake.
