C Chancha macrumors 68030 Mar 19, 2014 2,613 2,509 Apr 25, 2021 #5 It may be a stretch, but you can check if the ambient light sensor (next to the front camera) is dirty or smudged. Otherwise a temp solution is to disable auto screen brightness to see if it still behaves the same.
